Schools out for summer

Last Friday was Tayler & Megan's last day of school. Tayler, Megan and Ruth

When the girls got home from school they had a basket of fun things to play with. We can't wait to do Lot's of fun things this summer.

Fire truck + H2o = FuN

Every year at the end of the year the firemen from across the street from the school drive the firetruck over to the school and spray the kids on the field. This was our first year and we have heard that we should not miss it, man was that the truth it was so dang funny watching the kids while the fireman hooked it all up they counted down til they turned on the water and all the kids just screamed. This is all the kids waiting

Kindergarten Program

Last Wednesday the girls had their kindergarten program, and it was so cute.
They sang songs & danced it was hilarious. My favorite song was the zyx's song. Tayler & Megan with Mrs. Johns
We will sure miss her next year, she was the best teacher ever.
Megan, Reese & Tayler

They sang a song about friends and all held hands it was darling

Before the program started there was a slide show of pictures from throughout the year played to music that Mrs. Johns made. At the end she gave all the kids a copy, Tayler & Megan love it and watch it all the time.
I am so proud of my girls for doing so great this year, i am looking forward to all the new things for them to learn in the years to come.

Memorial Day 2010

What a beautiful day last Monday was to go visit our loved ones graves.
We started by visiting grandma & grandpa Murray's graves in Ogden, man it was so pretty up there with all the gorgeous flowers.
We then headed to Farr's for some ice cream, i can't get enough black licorice ice cream:)
After some ice cream we then headed to great grandpa & grandma Dances graves.
We usually take flowers but this time the girls wanted to take balloons so i bought some and let the kids decorate them, they loved it.

When we were visiting Grandpa & Grandma Dance's graves Jace saw a tractor and couldn't stop staring at it. So this cute, nice little old man (not in picture) came over to Jace and said does he want to come over and sit on my tractor, Jace was being shy and would not get on it but sure watched all amazed forever. This old man was digging his own brother in laws grave, he & his sons own a business digging graves. We talked to them for a bit and headed out for lunch at the park
Then we headed to visit grandpa Thompson's grave.

Tayler used her tooth fairy money and bought her and Megan an ice cream from the ice cream man that happened to be driving past the park.

This toy spins around, it was so funny to watch them get so dizzy:)
My cute kiddos
When we got home from the park daddy decided to play in the water with the kids, they played in the sprinklers and jumped on the tramp. What a fun daddy my kids have.

Dear tooth fairy

Tayler lost her first tooth last night, it has been loose for about a week now. We were eating dinner last night and she said her tooth hurt when she would take a bite, so i said let me see and it was all bloody it was so loose. So daddy said let's go get it out, and he did just that.
It didn't take much and it was out all he did was wiggle it once and it was out:)

This was my quick tooth fairy "tooth bag" That i made out of some felt to hold the tooth in til the tooth fairy came.

Family Literacy Night

Last week at the kids school they had a family literacy night. It was pretty cool they had little stations set up in the classrooms and you got to choose two rooms and they were each like 20 minutes. They read a book and had an activity that had to do with each story, then in the gym they had a story teller and a hired Jack Sparrow the kids thought it was pretty neat. When you first got there the kids were given a pirate hat, a ring or necklace & a map. In the first room the girls choose they were read "The very hungry caterpillar" and they got to make a couple crafts afterwards.

I didn't get a picture in the second room but they were read "Casey at the bat" and sang take me out to the ball game and got to eat popcorn.
This was Jack Sparrow that they had hired & he sounded just like him.
He read a book to everyone and they also had a hired storyteller Rachel Hedman read a book.
At the end if you had your map stamped from every station you received a free book. I thought it was pretty neat for them to do this, they are trying to get parents to keep there kids reading over the summer they said that a lot of kids come back after summer break and have forgotten a lot.
